How to Choose a Cleaning Service
To make sure you’re dealing with a reputable cleaning company, examine all of their documentation:
- Check with the local Better Business Bureau or other online referral sites such as KUDZU.com or Angieslist.com to read local reviews from other clients of the company you are looking to hire.
- Call national cleaning organizations like ARCSI.org (Association of Residential Cleaning Services International) to confirm they are members in good standing.
- Find out if they have an actual office and they don’t operate out of their car by cell phone. Make sure they have regular office hours and there is someone that speaks English that can assist you if a problem arises.
- Make sure you are provided a bid or quote in writing that clearly outlines their fees, cancelation policies, late cancellation policies, method of payment and services provided.
- Ask for proof of liability and bonding insurance so you know your home is protected.
- Ask them about what kind of training program and Quality Assurance program they have in place to ensure that you will receive the best possible cleaning.
- Ask for references.
